Scope of Position

The Senior SEO Associate will be responsible for executing tasks aimed at optimizing and increasing client SEO performance, including on-page and off-page strategies. This role supports both the launch of new client accounts and the ongoing development of a clients organic search presence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Dedicated to analytics, technical SEO, content development, or other tasks as assigned.

  • Execute basic SEO tactics based on strategies provided by SEO Specialists.

  • Own assigned client tasks, maintaining a deep understanding of client needs to support organic growth.

  • Implement SEO plans aligned with HLM and industry best practices.

  • Conduct link-building using standard industry techniques.

  • Audit websites to enhance SEO performance.

  • Utilize analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and issues.

  • Provide insights and recommendations based on analytics reports.

  • Stay up to date with SEO best practices and algorithm updates.

  • Create and optimize SEO-friendly content.

  • Maintain curiosity and pursue mastery in the SEO field.

  • Identify and communicate risks in client campaigns to SEO Specialists.

  • Support the blogging team with keyword research and content targeting when needed.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of HTML elements related to SEO.

  • Demonstrable or certified experience with Google Analytics.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Familiarity with SEO tools such as SEMRush, Majestic, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, SurferSEO, and Google Search Console.

  • Understanding of Google Tag Manager and tracking KPIs.

  • Experience with WordPress CMS.

  • Self-motivated and proactive in identifying and executing next steps.

  • Comfortable with ownership and accountability.

  • Eagerness for ongoing learning in SEO and broader digital marketing.

Education and Experience

  • 1 to 3 years of experience managing SEO campaigns.

  • Associates Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.

  • Active maintenance of Google Certifications and other relevant credentials.

Work Conditions

  • Standard office environment with extended use of computers and office equipment.
