Senior Backend Engineer (Ruby, PHP)

LOCATIONS: North America, Argentina, Europe, and India.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in a Software Engineering role, ideally in a dynamic startup setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in:
  • Programming languages: Python, Ruby, PHP
  • Databases: SQL, MySQL, Postgres, Oracle
  • Database design and RDBMS
  • Testing: Unit and Functional Testing
  • Operating Systems: Linux/UNIX
  • API design and implementation
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams at various stages of their careers.
• A track record of managing projects from ideation to completion as a leader.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Advanced degree, preferably BS or MS, in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
• The knack to understand and articulate technical and business challenges and solutions.
• Enthusiasm for learning and mastering new technologies.
