We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Room Division to join the team of our client. 

As the Director of Room Division, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the room division department withing the hotel.

The location is on an island:  Sardinia

Key Responsibilities


  • Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene procedures at all times
  • Create and maintain accurate SOPs with all brand and LQA Standards
  • Instill brand values and DNA through the application of the specific signature services
  • Ensure client satisfaction by exceeding expectations at all time
  • Handle guest complaints with empathy until full satisfaction
  • Deal with issues arising during operations and find solutions
  • Conduct weekly departmental meetings and follow-up important points raised during meetings
  • Periodically review systems and methods in all departments and suggest improvements where needed
  • Structure the department to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Control and check rooms to ensure a high maintenance of the property
  • Manage Rooms Division projects
  • Review Department Head performances

Financial & Administrative

  • Prepare Rooms Division budget
  • Compile yearly projects, investments and capital expenditures
  • Propose Rooms revenue and yield strategy
  • Ensure Yield strategy is animated and followed carefully
  • Complies with purchasing procedures and store requisition.
  • Manage Rooms P&L and costs
  • Prepare headcount and labour costs along with HR department

Human resources

  • Comply with social laws and obligations
  • Recruit the best possible candidates
  • Identify training needs and develop team skills
  • Pro-actively manage the team and their results
  • Encourage others to make decisions based on the organizations values and overall direction, keeping the Company's goals in mind
  • Ensure all human and material resources are given to provide the right work environment and thus enable best results
  • Manage roster and overtime to ensure highest quality and productivity
