Job specification

The rail vehicle air conditioning service technician works in a team. He performs simple repairs and maintenance of rail vehicle air conditioning systems, including commissioning after repairs and modernizations. After training, he or she can work independently. After training, he performs diagnostics of the air conditioning system.

  • After training, he/she searches for faults in air conditioning units of rail vehicles under the supervision of the manager.
  • Performs basic maintenance (cleaning, leak check, filter replacement, refrigerant filling, electrical installation inspection).
  • Perform repairs to mechanical, cooling and electrical parts of air conditioning equipment according to technical documentation.
  • After training, perform repairs by soldering under supervision.
  • Keeps daily records.
  • Cooperates with the dispatcher and other team members.
  • Comply with regulations and safety.


Candidate Requirement

  • Technical knowledge in the field of refrigeration, air conditioning or electrical engineering (ideally experience with rolling stock or mobile equipment).
  • Diligence, strong focus on work safety and ability to follow technological procedures.
  • Physical fitness and willingness to work at heights, outside the vehicle and in the operating depot/station environment.
  • Willingness to work in shifts or on standby according to operational needs.

Educational Requirement

  • Education:
  • Education: Secondary or vocational education in refrigeration, air-conditioning, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in servicing air-conditioning, refrigeration, or HVAC systems is an advantage.
