  • To set up, adjust, calibrate, and operate machines producing springs and spring assemblies for mattress cores, ensuring optimal machine performance, quality output, minimal downtime, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Perform trial runs and make fine adjustments to ensure dimensions, wire tension, pitch, height, spring force, coil alignment meet specifications
  • Monitor machine parameters, detect deviations or malfunctions, and intervene or stop machine when necessary
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs (lubrication, cleaning, replacing worn parts)
  • Collaborate with maintenance or engineering staff for major adjustments or troubleshooting
  • Document machine settings, adjustments, maintenance records, and production data in logs or digital systems
  • Assist in optimizing machine setup times, reducing waste and downtime

Candidates requirements

  • Proven experience (e.g. 13 years or more) as machine setter, adjuster, operator, or technician in a manufacturing environment, ideally with coiling, spring making or wire forming machinery
  • Responsibility, punctuality, and strong work ethic. Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read technical drawings, and machine documentation
  • Skills in measurement instruments (micrometres, callipers, gauges) and quality control tools
  • Problem-solving attitude, attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work shifts, flexibility in working hours
  • Computer literacy (data entry, basic production systems) an advantage
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance and basic repair tasks
