Job specification
The Rail Vehicle Metal worker assists with the maintenance and repair of mechanical components of rail vehicles. Disassembles and assembles components. Performs simple mechanical repairs. Works under the supervision of experienced mechanics. After training, can work independently.
- Support for mechanical modernization and repairs of rolling stock and mechanical components
- Assistance in the inspection and servicing of vehicle bodies.
- Help with disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of mechanical parts according to instructions
- Use basic hand tools, power tools under guidance
- Comply with regulations and safety.
- Keeps daily records of repairs
- Working in a team
Candidate Requirement
- Basic mechanical skills and willingness to learn repair techniques
- Manual dexterity and physical fitness for handling heavy components
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to work in shifts
- Technical education is an advantage
Educational Requirement
- Education:
- Technical or vocational training in mechanics or a related field
- Completion of a specialized training program (e.g., 4-month course)
- Experience:
- No prior professional experience required; practical training will be provided
- Hands-on skills and willingness to learn repair
