This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive salary and benefits package. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at the Intermediate Care Unit of a reputable hospital in Coos Bay.

Position Overview:

As a Registered Nurse in the Intermediate Care Unit, you will provide direct patient care to those who are in need of intermediate level nursing care. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, as well as collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for your patients. Your role will also involve providing education and support to patients and their families, as well as maintaining accurate and detailed medical records.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assessing and monitoring patients' conditions, identifying any changes and responding accordingly

- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians

- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans

- Educating patients and their families on their conditions and treatment plans

- Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records

- Providing emotional support to patients and their families

- Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations

- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment

Qualifications:

- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of Oregon

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an intermediate care or similar setting

- BLS and ACLS certifications

- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing principles and practices

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends

- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
