Our client is hiring several Service Technicians to perform machine installations, start‑ups, troubleshooting, repairs, and customer training across the United States. This role is highly hands‑on and customer‑facing, requiring strong technical service skills and extensive travel. The ideal candidate has direct experience with injection molding equipment and enjoys solving complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in the field.

Travel: 50–80% Nationwide

Work Schedule:

  • 5x8 schedule (Monday–Friday)
  • Nights as needed
  • Overtime available
  • Year‑round work
  • Occasional weekends based on customer needs

Supplemental Pay:

  • Overtime pays (time‑and‑a‑half)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with production trials, process evaluations, and issue resolution.
  • Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and parts usage in a CRM system.
  • Install, start up, commission, and test injection molding machines at customer sites.
  • Perform troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment upgrades.
  • Support customers and sales teams with technical assistance and on‑site service needs.
  • Conduct customer training on machine operation, maintenance, and best practices.
  • Coordinate with internal engineering, technical support, and international OEM partners.
  • Support spare‑parts activities including identification, ordering, and inventory tracking.
  • Participate in showroom demonstrations, customer visits, and equipment presentations.
  • Contribute to service documentation, manuals, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • Strong mechanical, electrical/controls, and hydraulic diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to travel 50–80% nationwide (valid driver's license required)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to train customers and internal teams.
  • 3+ years of experience in the injection molding or plastics industry, preferably in field service or technical service.
  • Hands‑on experience with machine installation, start‑up, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office; experience with CRM or service‑logging tools preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in customer environments and manage service priorities.
  • All education levels considered; technical school training or equivalent hands‑on experience is fully acceptable.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior work with international OEMs or distributors.
  • Experience contributing to manuals, SOPs, or service documentation.
  • Experience servicing injection molding presses or auxiliary plastics equipment.
  • Exposure to mold setup, process troubleshooting, or production trial support.
  • Experience with ERP/parts‑management systems or Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Work Environment & Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and handle tools and machine components.
  • Regional travel required (mileage reimbursement provided)
