Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Veterinarian to join a modern, privately owned small‑animal practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned clinician who enjoys high‑quality medicine and is interested in future leadership growth, including a potential Medical Director or multi‑site oversight track as the practice expands.

The Senior Veterinarian will provide advanced medical, surgical, and dental care for companion animals while helping guide clinical standards, mentor associate veterinarians, and support hospital operations. This is a full‑time, hands‑on clinical role with meaningful influence over hospital culture, workflow, and long‑term growth.

Compensation: $151,000-$180,000 + Bonus + Relocation Assistance

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent client communication and education.
  • Contribute to a positive, team‑oriented hospital environment.
  • Mentor and support associate veterinarians and clinical staff.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests (radiology, laboratory results, cytology, etc.)
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership to maintain high standards of care.
  • Provide surgical and dental care, including routine soft‑tissue procedures and extractions.
  • Assist with workflow optimization as the practice expands to extended or 7‑day operations.
  • Perform comprehensive physical exams, diagnose medical conditions, and develop treatment plans.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • Strong surgical and dental skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, multi‑doctor practice.
  • 5+ years of clinical experience in a small‑animal hospital.
  • Eligible for or holding a Massachusetts Veterinary License.
  • Experience in mentoring or leading clinical teams is preferred.
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent from an accredited institution.
