Our client is seeking an experienced Transportation Project Manager to lead and grow transportation engineering services in the Mobile region. This role blends technical engineering expertise with client-facing project leadership. You will collaborate closely with the Senior Transportation Planner and partner with transportation teams across multiple offices.

This position is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer who enjoys managing projects, mentoring staff, engaging with clients, and delivering high-quality transportation solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop proposals and pursue new transportation engineering opportunities.
  • Monitor project performance, including financial, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Provide guidance to junior staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Represent the firm in client meetings, presentations, and community discussions.
  • Prepare scopes, budgets, schedules, and technical documentation for traffic and roadway projects.
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Oversee technical work, including traffic analyses, roadway design elements, and engineering documentation.
  • Lead and manage transportation engineering projects from proposal through completion.

Qualifications/Must Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects to successful completion.
  • Proficiency with CADD software (AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation or civil engineering consulting.
  • Proven project management experience, including budget, scope, and schedule oversight.
  • Experience applying traffic engineering concepts or roadway design principles.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage clients and internal teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience managing multidisciplinary transportation projects.
  • Background in traffic studies, roadway design, or transportation planning.
  • Familiarity with project management tools used in engineering consulting.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers or coordinating small project teams.
