Our client is seeking a Financial Reporting Consultant to serve as the organizations subject matter expert in Oracle EPM and Oracle ERP Cloud Reporting during a major enterprise‑wide Oracle transformation. This role designs, builds, and optimizes financial, budgeting, forecasting, and close/reconciliation reporting across both EPM and ERP. The consultant partners closely with Senior Accountants, the Accounting Manager, FP&A, and the Oracle program team to ensure reporting accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with the future‑state Oracle environment.

This position is ideal for an experienced consultant with deep accounting knowledge, strong Oracle Cloud reporting expertise, and hands‑on experience supporting budget, forecast, and close processes within healthcare organizations.

Requirements:

Oracle EPM & ERP Reporting

  • Serve as the SME for Oracle EPM Planning, FCC, Narrative Reporting, and ERP Financial Reporting Studio.
  • Design, develop, and maintain financial, operational, and regulatory reports for budgeting, forecasting, and actuals.
  • Build standardized income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, variance, and departmental reporting.
  • Establish governance for report definitions, hierarchies, and metadata alignment across EPM and ERP.

Budget, Forecast & Planning Support

  • Translate FP&A requirements into scalable reporting and planning models.
  • Ensure planning outputs integrate seamlessly with ERP actuals and financial statements.
  • Lead the design and configuration of EPM budget and forecast reporting, dashboards, smart views, allocations, and workflows.

Close & Reconciliation Reporting

  • Create automated reconciliations, tracker dashboards, and exception reports.
  • Support the design and building of EPM Close and Reconciliation Management (task manager, reconciliations, certifications, and related reporting)
  • Partner with senior accountants to identify close process inefficiencies and convert them into system‑enabled workflows.

Transformation, Testing & Adoption

  • Deliver documentation, knowledge transfer, and post‑go‑live hypercare support.
  • Provide turnkey support to Senior Accountants and the Accounting Manager as they adopt new tools and reporting structures.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, solution design workshops, and cross‑functional validation sessions.
  • Support SIT and UAT by developing test cases, validating results, and troubleshooting data/reporting issues.

Qualifications/Must-Haves:

  • Ability to translate accounting requirements into system-reported outputs.

  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Oracle EPM (Planning, FCC, Reporting) and Oracle ERP Cloud Financial Reporting.
  • Strong background in financial reporting, GAAP accounting, close processes, and variance analysis.
  • Experience building reports using: Oracle EPM (Planning, Financial Reporting, Smart View), ERP Reporting Studio, OTBI, BI Publisher, EPM Task Manager and Reconciliation Compliance.
  • Understanding of healthcare financial reporting, cost structures, and regulatory considerations.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, and IT.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required; Master's degree or professional certification (CPA, CMA) preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a healthcare provider or health system environment.
  • Background in data governance, metadata management, and multi‑entity reporting.
