Our client is seeking a mid‑senior level Electrical Engineer to support the design, documentation, and production of commercial HVAC equipment. This role is highly hands‑on and requires strong electrical troubleshooting skills, controller programming experience, and the ability to produce accurate wiring documentation used across manufacturing, service, and customer‑facing teams.

The engineer will work onsite supporting production, test stands, and product development activities while ensuring compliance with UL/ETL safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure electrical designs meet UL/ETL safety and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, production, quality, and customer‑facing teams.
  • Support customer inquiries and assist the sales team with technical product questions.
  • Provide electrical troubleshooting and production support in a manufacturing environment.
  • Program and develop controllers; support automated test stands and flow‑stand operations.
  • Size and specify electrical components, including electric reheat systems, wire sizing, and heating elements.
  • Develop and maintain wiring documentation, schematics, and electrical deliverables for commercial HVAC products.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • Controller programming and development experience.
  • Experience working with UL and/or ETL safety standards.
  • Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience (10+ years strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency with electrical testing equipment, wiring/cabling tools, and CAD software.
  • Hands‑on electrical troubleshooting experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience generating wiring documentation for commercial HVAC or similar industrial products.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
  • Acceptable Substitute: 7+ years of hands‑on electrical engineering experience in production or HVAC environments, including controller programming, wiring documentation, component sizing, and UL/ETL compliance.
  • Candidates substituting experience for a degree must show proven competency through past project work, references, and technical screening.

Preferred Skills:

  • LabVIEW programming experience.
  • Experience with automated test stands or flow‑stand systems.
  • Background in commercial HVAC product development or support.
