About the job Automotive Warranty Compliance Auditor (Field-Based) | West
Our client is seeking experienced automotive professionals with strong warranty claims and dealership fixed‑operations knowledge to support a nationwide warranty compliance program. This position focuses on reviewing dealership warranty claim submissions, validating documentation, and ensuring adherence to OEM warranty policies.
This is not a traditional corporate audit role as the ideal candidate comes from a dealership environment and understands repair orders, labor ops, parts coding, and warranty submission workflows.
The role is field‑based and requires regional travel to franchised dealerships.

Compensation: $33–$38/hr. (based on experience and region)
Contract Duration: 1–2 years, with potential for contract‑to‑hire | W2
Work Schedule: Varies by region, dealership hours, and travel requirements
Work Environment & Travel:
- Company‑provided vehicle
- Regional travel within 6‑hour radius
- Hotel reimbursement when travel exceeds 90 minutes from home
Locations: Seattle, WA | Portland, OR | Salt Lake City, UT
Responsibilities:
- Review and validate dealership warranty claim submissions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with OEM warranty policies.
- Examine repair order documentation, labor operations, parts usage, and diagnostic procedures.
- Identify incorrect or noncompliant claims and initiate corrections or chargebacks when appropriate.
- Prepare and deliver summaries of findings, including claim review reports and compliance notifications.
- Communicate with dealership service management and warranty personnel to clarify issues and provide guidance.
- Identify recurring trends, documentation gaps, or training needs within assigned dealerships.
- Support dealership teams with best practices for warranty documentation and claim submission.
- Collaborate with regional and corporate teams to ensure consistent application of warranty policies.
- Assist with additional dealership network initiatives as needed (facility reviews, process checks, etc.)
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/O365.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel regionally (company vehicle provided)
- Labor operations, parts coding, sublet, and diagnostic workflows.
- Comfortable working independently and managing a field‑based schedule.
- Strong understanding of: Repair Order Documentation, OEM Warranty Rules and Policies.
- 5+ years of automotive dealership experience in one or more of the following areas: Warranty Administration, Service Advisor/Service Writer, Warranty Clerk/Warranty Analyst, Fixed Operations/Service Department.
