Our client is seeking an experienced Production Planner to manage production scheduling, material planning, and capacity coordination. This role ensures that manufacturing operations run efficiently, meet customer demand, and align with production goals. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, MRP expertise, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accuracy of production orders, routing, and documentation.
  • Convert demand forecasts into executable production plans using MRP and scheduling tools.
  • Evaluate capacity constraints and recommend outsourcing or schedule adjustments when needed.
  • Participate in daily/weekly production meetings and provide updates on schedule status and risks.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials and resolve shortages or delays.
  • Analyze production data to drive continuous improvement in throughput, efficiency, and on‑time delivery.
  • Monitor production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule adherence.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and sales to align production plans with capacity, lead times, and customer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules that meet customer demand and optimize labor, equipment, and material utilization.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
  • Strong working knowledge of MRP, production planning, and supply chain principles.
  • Experience with capacity planning, demand forecasting, and procurement coordination.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Production Planner or Material Planner in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or similar)
  • Experience in discrete manufacturing or engineered‑to‑order environments.
