Diesel Mechanic (2nd Shift) – Heavy Duty Trucks | Medora, IN

Our client is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy‑duty trucks and related equipment. This role supports safe, reliable fleet operations by ensuring vehicles are serviced accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with DOT and company standards.

Onsite | No Visa Sponsorship | No Relocation Assistance

Work Schedule: 2:00PM–12:00AM

Compensation: $24–$26/hr. + $2.00/hr. shift differential

Location: Medora, IN (Candidates should reside within commuting distance or be willing to self‑relocate)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct test drives and occasional roadside repairs as needed.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs based on maintenance plans and DVIRs.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Repair or replace components including brakes, air systems, electrical systems, fluids, filters, and related parts.
• Complete accurate work orders, time entries, and parts usage in electronic and/or paper systems.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment in accordance with company and DOT safety standards.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

• Must provide own required tools.
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Certification prior to starting.
• Ability to complete documentation accurately (electronic and paper)
• Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, communication skills, and commitment to safety.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience as a Diesel Mechanic working on heavy trucks or diesel‑powered fleet vehicles. 
• All education levels will be considered; equivalent practical experience is fully acceptable.
