Our client is seeking a Service Manager to oversee regional service operations, support field technicians, and ensure high‑quality customer service. This role is responsible for coordinating installations, troubleshooting support, service scheduling, customer complaint resolution, and continuous improvement of service processes. The ideal candidate has hands‑on injection molding experience and a strong background in technical field service.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing training for service technicians and support staff.
  • Oversee spare‑parts inventory, ordering, and usage tracking.
  • Respond to customer issues quickly and ensure timely resolution.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly service meetings and prepare operational reports.
  • Maintain accurate service records, machine histories, and maintenance logs.
  • Ensure service policies and procedures are followed and updated as needed.
  • Support technicians in the field when required, including hands‑on troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate records of new equipment installations and customer information.
  • Lead and support the regional service team, providing guidance, training, and performance oversight.
  • Coordinate on‑site service activities, installations, and troubleshooting with customers and the sales team.
  • Review recurring service issues and implement corrective actions to reduce repeat failures.
  • Collaborate with quality and technical teams to address major equipment or production issues.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel regionally.
  • Strong knowledge of plastics processing and injection molding machinery.
  • Experience coordinating or leading service teams or field technicians.
  • Hands‑on troubleshooting skills (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic)
  • Experience with maintenance tracking, service documentation, and spare‑parts management.
  • 3+ years of experience in the injection molding industry, preferably in technical service, field service, or equipment troubleshooting.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent hands‑on experience is fully acceptable.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience using CMMS or field‑service management tools.
  • Prior experience delivering technician training or customer training.
  • Experience improving service processes or reducing repeat service issues.
  • Experience installing, commissioning, or servicing injection molding presses.
  • Background in industrial machinery, plastics equipment, or OEM service operations.

Work Environment & Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and handle tools and machine components as needed.
