Our client is seeking a Radiation Therapist to deliver high‑quality radiation treatments to patients in an acute‑care setting, following physician prescriptions and established clinical protocols. This role ensures safe, accurate treatment delivery, maintains precise documentation, and supports patient education and comfort throughout the course of therapy. The therapist works collaboratively with physicians, physicists, dosimetrists, and the radiation therapy team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7AM–3:30PM | On‑Call Rotation

Responsibilities:

Clinical Care & Treatment Delivery

  • Maintains a safe environment and adheres to all radiation safety standards.
  • Monitors patients for side effects and communicates concerns to the clinical team.
  • Administers radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
  • Verifies treatment parameters, patient positioning, and equipment settings prior to each session.
  • Ensures accurate documentation of treatments, patient responses, and any variances.

Technical & Operational Support

  • Performs daily equipment checks and reports issues promptly.
  • Supports quality assurance processes and follows departmental protocols.
  • Assists with simulation procedures and treatment planning activities as needed.
  • Operates linear accelerators, CT simulators, and related radiation therapy equipment.

Patient Interaction & Communication

  • Maintains confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Educates patients and families on treatment expectations and safety considerations.
  • Provides clear instructions and compassionate support to patients undergoing treatment.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • Diploma/Certification in Radiation Therapy.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy or related field.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in treatment delivery.
  • Registered or registry‑eligible Radiation Therapist in good standing.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of radiation therapy principles, equipment, and safety standards.
  • Ability to work effectively with patients experiencing physical and emotional stress.

Preferred Skills:

  • One to two years of experience in radiation therapy.
  • Experience with Aria, Eclipse Treatment Planning, and Philips CT systems.

Work Environment:

  • Acute‑care hospital setting.
  • Monday–Friday schedule with on‑call rotation.
  • Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
  • Exposure to radiation‑controlled environments with appropriate safety measures.
