About the job Senior Systems Engineer – NG911 / E911 (Secret Clearance)
Our client is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support E‑911/NG911 modernization and emergency‑services integration across U.S. military installations. This role provides systems engineering, IP network support, and emergency call‑routing expertise for mission‑critical environments. Work includes emergency‑services routing, location provisioning, interoperability coordination, and technical risk reduction for Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) connectivity.
This position directly contributes to the modernization of emergency communications infrastructure supporting national defense operations.

Responsibilities:
Systems Engineering & Architecture
- Identify technical risks, escalate issues, and develop mitigation plans.
- Conduct architecture reviews, interface analysis, and technical assessments.
- Coordinate provisioning activities with government stakeholders and prime contractors.
- Provide systems engineering support for E‑911/NG911 integration within enterprise and federal network environments.
IP Network Engineering & Call Routing
- Troubleshoot SIP/VoIP call‑path issues and validate end‑to‑end call routing.
- Resolve location discrepancies impacting emergency call routing and PSAP interoperability.
- Analyze routing dependencies and interconnection performance for emergency call delivery.
- Support location provisioning and record validation within federal emergency‑services systems.
Technical Recommendations & Documentation
- Support interoperability testing, validation, and operational readiness activities.
- Produce technical recommendations, risk assessments, and engineering documentation.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Active Secret clearance.
- Experience supporting DoD or Federal networks.
- Hands‑on experience with SIP/VoIP technologies.
- Experience supporting E‑911/NG911 environments.
- Proficiency with Wireshark for packet‑level analysis.
- 10+ years' systems engineering or network engineering experience.
- 5+ years IP routing and enterprise communications experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Cisco certifications (CCNP/CCIE)
- Familiarity with DISA VISP provisioning and location‑record validation.
- Experience with PSAP interconnections and emergency call‑routing architectures.
- Experience with Army Voice Modernization (VMOD) or similar federal emergency‑services programs.
