Our client is seeking a Senior Internal Communications Manager to grow and build a strong foundation for effective, modern employee communications. This role supports strategic, company‑wide messaging and internal product communications while partnering closely with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams. The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller, a trusted advisor, and someone who can connect day‑to‑day communications to broader business priorities.

Contract Duration: 4 months | W2

Work Model: Hybrid (Only candidates local to the San Jose, CA area will be considered)

Work Schedule: Part-time 15 hours per week; conversion to full‑time (40 hours per week) is possible based on business needs and performance

Requirements:

  • Support change‑management initiatives with thoughtful, employee‑centered communication strategies.
  • Provide strategic internal communications guidance to senior leaders and cross‑functional partners, particularly within Software, Payments & Financial Services, and Engineering.
  • Lead internal product communications, ensuring employees understand new features, launches, and customer impact.
  • Develop clear, compelling messaging and narratives for company‑wide initiatives, executive communications, and organizational updates.
  • Partner across teams to drive alignment, influence decision‑making, and strengthen communication practices.
  • Create presentations, talking points, and executive‑level materials with strong narrative flow and visual clarity.
  • Champion communication approaches that support an inclusive, hybrid workforce.

Qualifications/Must-Haves:

  • Change‑management communications experience.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and attention to detail.
  • Background in fast‑paced, high‑growth organizations.
  • 8–10 years of corporate communications experience.
  • Direct experience in employee/internal communications.
  • Proven ability to support and deliver company‑wide strategic messaging.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.
  • Experience coaching and influencing leaders on communication best practices.
  • Strong executive messaging, slide design, and narrative‑development skills.
  • Experience communicating financial technology initiatives, product launches, and feature announcements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience in corporate/internal communications.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting hybrid or distributed workforces.
  • Familiarity with internal communication platforms and tools.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.
