Our client is seeking a Senior HVAC Service Technician to join a growing, customer-focused team. This hands-on role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including hot water systems, DX systems, chillers, VRV/VRF systems, and low voltage controls across eastern Iowa, western Illinois, Missouri, and Minnesota.

Onsite | No Visa Sponsorship | Relocation Assistance: Limited

Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities for additional services and solutions.
  • Travel within the assigned territory; minimal overnight stays.
  • Lead small project teams or mentor junior technicians as needed.
  • Provide technical training and support to clients and junior technicians.
  • Maintain accurate service records using mobile systems and company laptop.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems: hot water, DX, chillers, cooling towers, VFDs, fan systems, and low voltage controls.
  • Conduct equipment inspections, start-ups, commissioning, and preventative maintenance.

Qualifications/Must-Haves:

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Valid HVAC license and EPA certification.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical aptitude.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs. and work in confined or elevated spaces.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
  • 5+ years of HVAC experience in commercial or industrial settings.
  • Expertise in hot water, DX systems, chillers, VRV/VRF, and low voltage controls.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Daikin equipment training or experience.
  • Willingness to travel within assigned territory.
  • NATE certification or other advanced HVAC credentials.
  • Experience in large-scale commercial or industrial facilities.
  • Experience with VFDs and industrial refrigeration systems.

Technical Tools:

  • Mobile app usage for real-time job updates and customer documentation.
  • Proficiency with field service management (FSM) software such as ServiceTitan or FieldEdge.
