Our client is seeking a Field Installation Manager to support high-volume service operations. This is a hands-on, field-driven role focused on troubleshooting, estimating, scheduling, and supporting small installation/service crews.

This position was created to improve field efficiency and reduce workload on senior leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial service experience (not just new installs) and can confidently manage multiple jobs, crews, and customer needs in real time.

Onsite | No Visa Sponsorship | No Relocation Assistance

Work Schedule: Primarily weekdays (occasional on-call support)

Please Note:

  • Candidates with new installation only experience are not a fit.
  • Candidates must have commercial experience residential-only backgrounds are not a fit.

Location: Roseville, CA (Greater Sacramento, CA area) | Local or regionally based candidates are strongly preferred. Exceptional non‑local candidates may be considered if they can self‑relocate immediately and commit to the onsite schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule 1–2 person installation/service crews.
  • Source parts, materials, and equipment for repairs and installation.
  • Troubleshoot issues in the field and remotely support technicians.
  • Run service estimates and scope repair/installation requirements.
  • Oversee daily field operations across 10–20 active commercial service jobs.
  • Partner closely with leadership during a structured 6‑month training period.
  • Ensure work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards (ADA, fire-rated, etc.)
  • Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to keep projects moving.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • Experience running service estimates and coordinating field work.
  • Ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Hands-on commercial door service/repair experience (not residential)
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills able to resolve issues independently.
  • All education levels will be considered; equivalent practical experience is fully acceptable.
  • Experience with 3–4+ of the following systems: Automatic Doors (SIG or similar), Storefront Doors, Hollow Metal Doors, Solid Core/Wood Doors, Overhead/Rolling Doors, Gates/Gate Operators, and Dock Equipment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with all door types listed above.
  • Prior leadership or crew supervision experience.
  • Experience sourcing parts/vendors independently.
  • Strong estimating background (owning quotes end-to-end)
  • Knowledge of ADA, fire-rated, and general safety compliance.
  • Experience with competitors such as Vortex, Industrial Door Company, or R&S Doors.
  • Background in high-volume commercial service environments (HVAC, facilities, building services, etc.)
