Our client is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to join a small, high‑performing team. This is a first‑shift position with no nights or weekends, offering steady work, a supportive environment, and ongoing technical training. The ideal candidate is a skilled, self‑directed technician with strong diagnostic ability and experience of performing major repairs on diesel engines and heavy‑duty trucks.
Onsite | No Visa Sponsorship | No Relocation Assistance
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30AM–4:30PM or 8:00AM–5:00PM
Responsibilities:
- Conduct road tests when required to verify repairs.
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development.
- Document all work performed and recommended services.
- Maintain an organized, efficient workflow and adhere to all safety procedures.
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on heavy‑duty diesel trucks in accordance with industry and OEM standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, driveline components, steering, suspension, and brake systems (air & hydraulic)
- Complete major component work including engines, transmissions, differentials, clutches, and related assemblies.
- Install and replace injectors, pistons, liners, cylinder heads, bearings, oil pans, and other components.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to use computer‑based diagnostic tools.
- Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Must have a personal tool set appropriate for heavy‑duty repair work.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical training preferred.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience working with diesel engines and heavy‑duty trucks.
- Experience with engines, transmissions, driveline, steering, suspension, and brake systems.
Preferred Skills:
- ASE certifications.
- EPA 608/609 certification.
- OEM training or certifications.
- Experience with major engine platforms (e.g., Cummins, International, or similar)
