Planview Solution Architect (Portfolios, AgilePlace) – PPM | NYC

Our client is seeking an experienced Planview Solution Architect to lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Planview solutions across multiple business and technology teams. This role is ideal for a senior architect who has delivered full‑cycle Planview implementations and can operate confidently in a complex, matrixed environment.

Contract Duration: 6 months | W2

Location: New York, NY (Candidates must currently reside within a commutable distance)

Responsibilities:

• Support Agile portfolio processes and participate in Scrum ceremonies as needed.
• Lead the design and implementation of Planview solutions across Portfolios, Enterprise Architecture, and AgilePlace.
• Collaborate with finance, technology, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable solution designs.
• Develop and present architecture diagrams, technical proposals, and solution roadmaps.
• Configure Planview modules, workflows, integrations, and data structures to support enterprise portfolio management.
• Create and maintain SOPs, standard work instructions, governance documentation, and training materials.
• Drive knowledge transfer, documentation, and ongoing optimization of Planview usage across the organization.
• Ensure effective integration between Planview and enterprise systems (e.g., finance, ITSM, PPM, cloud platforms)
• Promote best practices in enterprise architecture, portfolio management, and solution governance.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

• Familiarity with AWS or Azure environments.
• Planview certification or related technology certification.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• 3+ full-cycle Planview implementations in enterprise environments.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent hands‑on experience is fully acceptable.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, multi‑stakeholder environment.
• 8+ years designing and implementing Planview solutions (Portfolios, Enterprise Architecture, AgilePlace)
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and PPM methodologies.
• Experience with integrations between Planview and enterprise systems (APIs, data pipelines, cloud services)
• Experience with other PPM tools (e.g., Clarity, ServiceNow PPM, Workfront, Jira Align)

Preferred Skills:

• Background supporting finance, IT, or enterprise PMO functions.
• Experience developing governance frameworks, SOPs, and training materials.
• Experience in large, matrixed organizations or consulting/system‑integrator environments.
