Our client is seeking a Sales Estimator to support both new business development and estimating industrial coating and maintenance projects. This role blends sales, estimating, and account management, with responsibility for expanding the customer base while also servicing existing accounts.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable in industrial environments, and able to learn technical product details quickly. This position requires strong communication skills, accuracy in estimating, and the ability to build long‑term customer relationships.

Work Schedule: 6:00AM–3:30PM (hours may extend based on project needs)

Role Breakdown:

  • 50% New Business Development
  • 50% Account Management
  • 70% Office, 30% Field

Responsibilities:

  • Develop job instructions for field crews.
  • Occasionally assist with incoming phone calls.
  • Prepare detailed estimates and client proposals.
  • Follow up with customers after job completion.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and documentation.
  • Order coatings, lifts, scaffolding, and other materials/equipment.
  • Prepare and update marketing materials, mailers, and customer lists.
  • Contact vendors for product information, pricing, and technical guidance.
  • Conduct outreach to new and existing customers through cold calling, email, and in‑person visits.
  • Perform jobsite take‑offs: Measure square footage, assess access and prep methods, and determine appropriate coatings.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • Word (proposals)
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Excel (estimating and take‑offs) 
  • CRM experience (Maximizer or similar)
  • Cold‑calling or outbound sales experience.
  • Ability to balance office work with field visits.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (experience may substitute)
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn technical product details.
  • Strong cold‑calling and business development background.
  • 3+ years' experience preparing estimates or bids for industrial or commercial projects.
  • 2-5 years' estimating experience strongly preferred (industrial, coatings, construction, or related fields)
  • Comfortable working in industrial environments and interacting directly with Maintenance Managers, Plant Managers, and Facility Managers.
  • Quick learner who can understand coatings, prep methods, and industrial job requirements.
  • Able to manage long‑term customer relationships while independently running bids and site visits.
