Civil Engineer (3–5 Years) – Site/Land Development | Civil 3D

Our client is seeking a mid-level Civil Engineer ready to take on more project responsibility. This position is ideal for someone with 3–5 years of hands-on site/land development experience who wants to lead design tasks, coordinate with surveyors and planners, and work directly with municipalities and clients.

This is a full-time, onsite role supporting commercial, industrial, municipal, and private development projects throughout the region.

Requirements:

• Communicate with municipalities, clients, and internal teams.
• Coordinate with in-house surveyors, site planners, and external stakeholders.
• Lead and support civil/site design projects from concept through construction.
• Prepare grading, drainage, utility, stormwater, and site development plans.
• Perform engineering calculations and ensure compliance with local and state regulations.
• Assist with permit submittals, plan review responses, and construction-phase support.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

• Familiarity with municipal permitting and plan review processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver accurate, high-quality work.
• 3+ years of experience in civil/site/land development, municipal, or transportation projects.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (grading, surfaces, utilities, plan production)
• Experience with stormwater management, drainage calculations, and utility layout.

Preferred Skills:

• FE/EIT certification or progress toward PE licensure.
• Experience coordinating with survey teams or municipal reviewers.
• Exposure to construction-phase support (RFIs, ASIs, inspections, etc.)
• Experience with stormwater/H&H tools (HydroCAD, StormCAD, HEC‑RAS, Autodesk SSA, etc.)
