Our client is seeking a skilled Precision Quality Inspector to perform in‑process and final inspections on tight‑tolerance components used in aerospace and other high‑precision applications. This role ensures dimensional accuracy, proper documentation, and compliance with customer and industry quality standards.
Onsite | No Visa Sponsorship | No Relocation Assistance
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00AM–3:30PM
Responsibilities:
- Interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements.
- Use precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, and specialty gauges.
- Identify and document nonconformances; initiate NCRs and support root‑cause investigations.
- Maintain accurate inspection records in accordance with customer and aerospace documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to uphold quality standards and continuous improvement.
- Perform in‑process and final inspections on precision‑machined parts to tolerances as tight as ±0.0002"
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
- 2–5+ years of hands‑on precision inspection experience.
- Proven experience measuring tight tolerances (±0.0005" or tighter)
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
- Experience documenting NCRs and working within a structured quality system.
- All education levels will be considered; equivalent practical experience is fully acceptable.
Preferred Skills:
- CMM exposure or metrology coursework.
- Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Experience in aerospace, medical device, semiconductor, or other high‑precision manufacturing environments.
