Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Full-Time | Vernal, UT

Our client is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide evaluation, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with speech, language, cognitive‑communication, and swallowing disorders. This role supports patients across the continuum of care and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal functional outcomes. The SLP also participates in patient and family education, documentation, and discharge planning.

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8AM-5PM

Responsibilities:

Clinical Care

• Conducts initial and ongoing assessments of speech, language, cognitive‑communication, and swallowing function.
• Develops and implements individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.
• Provides evidence‑based therapeutic interventions to improve communication and swallowing abilities.
• Educates patients and families regarding treatment goals, progress, and home programs.
• Participates in discharge planning, ensuring continuity of care and appropriate follow‑up recommendations.

Professional Practice

• Maintains accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Adheres to all regulatory, ethical, and professional standards of practice.
• Collaborates with physicians, nursing, rehabilitation, and other care team members to support coordinated care.
• Supervises clinical fellows, students, and support personnel in accordance with professional guidelines.

Team & Organizational Support

• Participate in departmental meetings, quality initiatives, and professional development activities.
• Contributes to a positive, patient‑centered environment that supports safety, respect, and teamwork.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

• Current state SLP license (or eligibility) required.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology required.
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
• Commitment to evidence‑based practice and ongoing professional growth.
• CCC‑SLP certification preferred or required, depending on organizational standards.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within organizational timeframe.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills across adult and/or pediatric populations.
