Job Title: Chinese Interpreter / Translator
Location: Angola (Must be locally based)
Employment Type: Contract / Project-Based
Salary: AOA 500,000 – 900,000 (gross) per month

Job Overview

We are supporting a consulting client in Angola who is seeking a Chinese Interpreter / Translator to support an active project. The successful candidate must be currently located in Angola and able to work closely with operational and EHS teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate a wide range of documents for the EHS Department, including local safety and environmental regulations, technical standards, official documents, policies, and procedures

• Provide oral interpretation support where required between Chinese and English (and/or Portuguese, if applicable)

• Assist department supervisors with internal coordination tasks, including:

  • Organising safety training sessions

  • Supporting safety inspections

  • Handling EHS-related administrative matters

• Coordinate with relevant internal departments and provide timely updates and feedback

• Support basic data handling, reporting, and official document preparation

Requirements

• Fluent in Chinese and English (Portuguese is a strong advantage)

• Proven experience as an Interpreter / Translator, preferably within industrial, construction, engineering, or EHS environments

• Strong proficiency in MS Office and general office software

• Basic data analysis and professional report-writing skills

• High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and attention to detail

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team

Eligibility

• Candidates must be currently based in Angola

• A legal right to work locally in Angola is required
