TIG Welder / Pipefitter – Duplex & Super Duplex Stainless Steel

We are seeking experienced TIG Welders / Pipefitters with strong capability in welding Duplex and Super Duplex stainless steel for industrial and oil & gas projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality TIG (GTAW) welding on Duplex and Super Duplex stainless steel pipework.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, WPS, and fabrication specifications.

• Prepare, fit, and install piping systems to precise tolerances.

• Maintain welding equipment and ensure all welds meet required standards.

• Follow all safety procedures and quality inspection processes.

Required Qualifications

• Proven TIG welding experience specifically on Duplex and Super Duplex stainless steel.

• Recognised welding certification (ASME IX, AWS, or equivalent).

• Pipefitter qualification or strong trade experience.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and welding procedures.

• Understanding of heat-input control, corrosion-resistant welding, and Duplex metallurgy.

• Experience in industrial, petrochemical, or offshore fabrication environments preferred.

• Familiarity with QC and inspection processes (visual, NDT) is an advantage.

Desirable Qualifications

• Prior experience in offshore fabrication, oil & gas, or petrochemical projects.

• Experience with stainless steel pipe systems larger than 700 mm and multi-shift work environments.

• Additional welding competencies, such as orbital TIG or pulsed TIG.

• Language skills suitable for multinational project sites.
