Our client's prestigious Hospital in Papua New Guinea is looking for an RMO to join their team 

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Medical Officer is responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients across various hospital departments. This role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide spectrum of medical conditions following hospital protocols and international best practices. The Medical Officer will also support the department's operations, participate in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives, and collaborate with other clinical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Additionally, the medical officer may be assigned to roles aligned with their skills, knowledge, and expertise in the fields of general and family medicine, occupational health, acute and critical care, and clinical operations. He/she can also be assigned to work at different hospitals and clinics within the network, including coverage at remote locations for fixed rotational period; offsite medical camps, community health programs and business development activities like social & public speaking events etc organized or facilitated by Pacific International Hospital. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 

- Education: MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution. 

- Certification: Active medical license and certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS). 

- Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of post-internship clinical experience in a hospital setting. Experience in areas of Family Medicine, Urgent/Acute Care, and Occupational Health is preferred. 

Skills: Strong clinical knowledge, sound judgment, excellent communication skills, and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, as well as independently at outreach locations.
