Technical Services Engineer, Aviation Powerplant
Location: Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea
Our client, a leading aviation operator in Papua New Guinea, is seeking a technically skilled and results-driven Technical Services Engineer, Powerplant to oversee the ongoing serviceability and reliability of the airline's powerplant systems. This role will focus on the management of engine-related data, contracts, logistics, and compliance within the fleet maintenance program.
Key Responsibilities

Track and manage engine component history, LLPs, QEC modules, AD/SB compliance, and engine logbooks.

Oversee PBH agreements, service provider performance, and repair/exchange orders for powerplant systems.

Ensure effective ECTM data loading, borescope report reviews, and trend analysis reporting.

Coordinate cost events and repair quotations with vendors and the finance team.

Monitor the logistics flow of engine components and ensure timely returns with governance protocols.

Validate BER components and manage rotatable inventory reporting for management and finance.

Generate monthly engine reliability reports, shop visit evaluations, and supply chain status updates.

Ensure all duties are carried out following CASA PNG regulations and the approved Technical Services Manual.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
-
Minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation engineering or engine repair facility.

Must hold a valid AMEL or equivalent license with PW engine ratings.

Hands-on experience with IAS, RAAS, or other aviation maintenance systems.

Strong understanding of aircraft components, engine systems, and powerplant logistics.
Technical & Strategic Skills

Strong engineering knowledge in aircraft acquisition and engine operations.

Skilled in data analysis, maintenance documentation, and compliance reporting.

Familiarity with aviation contracts, budgets, and inventory systems.
