Senior Planner,  Aircraft Maintenance

Location: Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea

Our client, a prominent airline based in Papua New Guinea, is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Planner to join the Continuing Airworthiness Management Group (CAMG). This role plays a vital part in maintaining the safety, compliance, and efficiency of aircraft maintenance operations through effective planning and coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage short-term and long-term maintenance forecasts for the fleet, including ATR and Dash-8 aircraft.

  • Compile and deliver accurate maintenance work packs to the MRO following Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Track and requisition critical parts, rotables, and consumables in advance to ensure timely maintenance execution.

  • Review utilization rates and adjust forecasts on a quarterly basis.

  • Assist with processing technical records and managing backlog as required.

  • Monitor deferrals closely and ensure proper tracking and reporting.

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical records or aircraft maintenance planning.

  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a similar environment.

  • Training or experience with IAS and RAAS systems is strongly preferred.

  • Proficiency with CAMP and other computerized aviation maintenance systems.

Knowledge

  • Familiarity with CAR Parts 91, 43, 119, 121, and 125.

  • Strong understanding of aviation planning functions and operational needs of a busy airline.

  • Hands-on experience in technical records management.
