QA Engineer

New role - QA Engineer  - Automated Testing & Cloud processing

Our partner is a forward thinking technology company specialising in cutting- edge cloud based solutions. They provide an end-to-end service that delivers 3D reality capture data gained from sensors such as LiDAR, imaging, GPS, INS of entire cities all over the world. 

They are looking to grow their QA team and are seeking a talented QA engineer to join their Sensor & Data team. You will have a strong background in automated testing and an understanding of data processing components designed for cloud processing. You will be responsible for ensuring systems are reliable, scalable and perform flawlessly under real-world conditions.

Some of what you will do!

• Design, develop and execute automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Test components designed to be part of our cloud processing pipeline for
  performance, reliability, scalability and security.
• Collaborate closely with developers and DevOps to integrate testing through the CI/CD pipeline
• Analyze test results, identity bugs and areas for improvement and drive issues to resolution.
• Maintain and evolve testing documentation and best practices.
  

What you need to have!

• Proven experience in automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (eg. AWS, Azure, GCP) and deploying data
  processing components to Cloud.
• Experience testing containerized applications (eg. Docker)
• Proficient in at least one scripting/programming language (eg. Python, NodeJS, Bash)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration with test automation (eg. Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins).
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

For this role you will ideally be based in the Edinburgh area and/or willing to travel occasionally to the office if onsite testing is required.
