Are you looking for an opportunity to partner closely with a founder, influence company-wide strategy, and lead the operational scaling of a high-growth technology business?

This is an exciting Chief Operating Officer opportunity with a rapidly growing technology company.

Our client helps hospitality businesses turn guest data into growth through a platform that brings together marketing, loyalty, guest WiFi, reviews, and retention.

Having achieved 100% year-on-year growth, they are now seeking a Chief Operating Officer to work alongside the CEO and lead the operational execution of the company's next stage of growth.

As the CEO's key strategic and operational partner, you will oversee execution across all business functions outside Product, ensuring the organisation operates with clarity, accountability, and efficiency. You will lead the development of the systems, operating model, and culture required to scale sustainably while maintaining agility and avoiding unnecessary complexity.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic and Operational Leadership

  • Serve as the CEO's principal operational partner and member of the leadership team.
  • Lead operational execution across all non-product functions, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Reduce organisational dependency on the CEO by establishing clear decision-making frameworks, ownership, and accountability.
  • Translate company strategy into measurable operational plans and successful execution across teams.
  • Ensure priorities are aligned, tracked, and consistently delivered against business goals.

Operational Excellence and Governance

  • Design, implement, and lead the company's operating cadence, including planning, performance reviews, and cross-functional execution.
  • Establish robust accountability frameworks, KPIs, management reporting, and operational governance across the organisation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance visibility, execution, and organisational effectiveness.

Scaling the Business

  • Lead operational scaling initiatives through process optimisation, automation, and the effective application of AI-enabled workflows.
  • Ensure the organisation scales efficiently, balancing growth, productivity, and resource allocation.
  • Develop systems and processes that support sustainable growth without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy or headcount expansion.

Organisational Development and Culture

  • Partner with leadership to elevate hiring, talent development, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Foster a high-performance culture built on accountability, ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion effective communication and alignment across the organisation while maintaining a strong focus on execution.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience in operational leadership within high-growth technology businesses, startups, scale-ups, Chief Operating Officer, or executive leadership environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and driving organisational scale.
  • Strong commercial acumen and operational judgement with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
  • Experience building scalable operating structures, governance frameworks, and performance management systems.
  • Ability to influence and drive accountability at all levels of an organisation.
  • Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
  • Strong leadership presence combined with a practical, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Highly execution-focused, proactive, and comfortable operating in fast-paced environments.
  • Systems-thinking mindset with a passion for operational excellence and business optimisation.
  • Genuine interest in leveraging AI and automation to improve organisational performance and scalability.
