The Role

As a Biofuels Trader based in Shanghai, you will drive feedstock sourcing and trading both domestically and internationally. You will build and manage relationships with Chinese suppliers, customers, brokers, and global teams to ensure reliable supply, regulatory compliance, and profitable trading opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Source biofuel feedstocks in China (UCO, HVO), arranging logistics for export to Europe and the USA

• Ensure quality, compliance, traceability, and documentation meet global standards

• Monitor and analyze Chinas biofuel markets, including supply-demand fundamentals and policy developments

• Maintain regular communication with customers, competitors, brokers, and internal global teams

• Support the implementation of biofuel business strategy in China and identify new investment/trading opportunities

• Optimize trading performance and contribute to long-term profit growth across the value chain

Candidate Profile

• 8–10 years trading experience, with at least 3 years in biofuels (agribusiness experience preferred)

• Deep knowledge of Chinas domestic biofuel and UCO/HVO markets, export flows, and regulatory requirements

• Understanding of sustainability, traceability, and certification standards

• Knowledge of carbon credits and biofuel-related petrochemical markets is a plus

• Strong communication skills in Mandarin and English

• Results-driven, adaptable, and able to perform under pressure
