JOB PURPOSE

The Product Manager (PM) is responsible for supporting, leading, managing and directing all product marketing related activities. The PM will work closely with multiple departments including Manufacturing, Sourcing, Engineering, and R&D. The PM will work with the Field Sales team, key business partners and the senior management team to maximize growth, development, and return on investment in the organizations product portfolio.

The Product Manager owns a product line end-to-end and is accountable for product profitability. The successful candidate will be expected to be a high-energy, creative and resourceful self-starter, who demonstrates leadership skills and instincts. This person will be highly intelligent and enthusiastic, with a commitment to excellence. In terms of personal competencies, the successful candidate must be a hands-on Product Manager who possesses the best combination of strategic thinking and drive to achieve tangible business results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy & Planning

Develop distinctive product plans with outstanding financial outcomes.

Competency in microeconomics, finance, VOC, research and analysis and basic marketing tools including market definition and sizing, segmentation, value management, targeting and positioning, pricing is required.

Develop business strategies clearly linked to financial and functional actions.

Own the product planning process including new product additions, working with R&D, Operations, Sales; sunset current products; developing and managing product roadmaps linked to segments, customer needs and willingness to pay; product positioning linked to distinctive understanding of competitive offerings and value; product value pricing; SKU management.

Customer Relationship Management

This position is the link between technology/product lines and customers. Ability to communicate the value of the offering in customer centric terms to cause customers to choose Company offerings based on value delivered is required.

Strong VOC skill set and ability

Strong knowledge of how to drive value propositions into compelling customer pitches that result in customer orders

Product Management

Understand and manage product life cycles, profitability, demand planning, new product development ideation and process management, competitive offerings

Demonstrate understanding of end-to-end role of product manager in context of dynamic competitive environment

Owns the product profitability and drives positive results

Integrate businesses into decision making; Product team delivers on customer needs on time and budget

Manage products added and pruned from the product line

Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Economics, Business, Engineering or another Technical Discipline

Minimum of 10 years of experience in similar leadership roles.

Proven success leading marketing, strategic planning and product management.

Proven marketing strategic, analytical and implementation skills.

Fluent in both English and Chinese.
