BUSINESS IMPLEMENTATION MANAGER (ERP)

Our client is a global leader in sourcing, processing, and distributing palm, coconut, and other tropical oils. With operations that span plantations, processing facilities, and supply chains across key producing regions in S.E. Asia, the business partners with growers, refiners, manufacturers, and customers to deliver safe, sustainable, and high-quality ingredients. Its activities cover the full value chain, from agronomic expertise and traceability initiatives to innovation in food, feed, and industrial applications, ensuring both reliable supply and long-term value creation for customers and stakeholders worldwide. As part of a major ERP implementation project they seek a Business Implementation Manager.

Job Purpose

The Business Implementation Manager will lead business implementation activities across multiple projects, ensuring processes, data, and information are well-established and streamlined for successful deployment of new business initiatives. The role focuses on institutionalizing knowledge in tropical oils, covering supply chain, operations, agronomics, and trading intelligence, and transforming this into actionable insights that create business value.

This position will also play a key role in enabling business infrastructure, including leading ERP project execution for tropical oils. The Manager will oversee critical activities such as planning, scoping, execution, and change management across multiple functions and locations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead delivery of digital projects, from pre-deployment to post go-live stabilization.
  • Coordinate and guide decision-making on scope, digital functionality, and system footprint.
  • Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies to ensure alignment and successful execution.
  • Drive organizational change by preparing the business for new ways of working and future talent needs.
  • Provide stakeholders with project progress updates, enabling effective review and timely decision-making.
  • Ensure documentation, training, and knowledge transfer for smooth transition to business-as-usual.
  • Lead, coach, and develop professionals within the team, making decisions on hiring, performance, and capability development.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to ensure staff and project resources align with current and future business needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Detailed Responsibilities

1. Tropical Oils Data Transformation (50%)

  • Design, build, and operate a Data War Room to accelerate data maturity across palm and copra.
  • Define what data should be collected, how it should be stored, and how best to analyse it to generate insights.
  • Serve as the central hub for connecting supply chain, operations, agronomics, and trading intelligence.
  • Partner with Digital, Data, FP&A, and technology teams to identify and rapidly implement analytics capabilities.
  • Provide leadership and coaching for data analysts and engineers, whether in-house or outsourced.
  • Lead data initiatives end-to-end: design, deployment, measurement, and monitoring.

2. ERP Implementation Support (30%)

  • Lead data-related project management to ensure on-time, in-scope, and on-budget delivery.
  • Translate business needs and insights into requirements for IT and project teams.
  • Ensure stakeholder engagement and participation throughout review cycles.
  • Communicate project progress clearly to stakeholders and business users.
  • Provide leadership and coaching for process leads and subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Manage business readiness, organizational change, and user adoption.

3. Change Leadership (20%)

  • Oversee and coach individuals in change management, communication, and leadership alignment.
  • Design and execute change and education initiatives, including stakeholder management and cultural integration.
  • Identify barriers to adoption, propose solutions, and mitigate project risks.
  • Build local Change Agent Networks and capability across project teams.
  • Lead training and education strategies to build sustainable capability.

4. Other Business Initiatives (as needed)

  • Drive implementation of organizational and business readiness tools.
  • Ensure effective alignment and execution of new initiatives requiring project management and change leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong business background with proven process and organizational expertise.
  • Ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and achieve alignment in a matrix environment.
  • Systems thinker, able to integrate process, data, people, and technology to drive outcomes.
  • Minimum of six years of relevant professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Proven success delivering results on medium- or large-scale initiatives.
  • Experience leading ERP deployment projects.
  • Project management experience in a dedicated PM role.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is required due to the high levels of interaction with Indonesian stakeholders across the organisation
