Job Overview:
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering software projects on time, within scope, and on budget. This role involves managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with business goals, stakeholder expectations, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Execution:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, resources, budgets, and risk management plans.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, ensuring tasks are completed as per the project plan.
2. Stakeholder Management:
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide project status updates, identify issues, and manage expectations.
- Act as the primary point of contact between project stakeholders, including clients, product teams, and development teams.
- Ensure all stakeholders are aligned on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
3. Risk and Issue Management:
- Identify potential risks and issues, assess their impact, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Proactively manage project risks to avoid delays and scope creep.
Resolve project issues and escalate to senior management when necessary.
4. Resource and Budget Management:
- Manage project resources, ensuring the right personnel are available to meet project requirements.
- Track project budgets and expenses, ensuring projects stay within financial constraints.

5. Quality Assurance and Control:
- Ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
- Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure project outcomes meet client and business expectations.
- Conduct regular project reviews to assess progress and ensure continuous improvement.
6. Project Closure and Reporting:
- Oversee the successful delivery of project outcomes, ensuring they meet the agreed-upon objectives.
- Conduct project retrospectives and document lessons learned.
- Provide final project reports to stakeholders, including analysis of project performance, challenges, and successes.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- 4-6 years of experience in managing software projects, preferably in Agile or hybrid environments.
- Proven experience with full project lifecycle management, including requirements gathering, planning, execution, and delivery.
Certifications:
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certifications.
Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI-ACP are a plus.
Required Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban, Hybrid).
- Proven team leadership qualities with the ability to lead, mentor, and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project, ClickUp).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Solid understanding of budgeting, resource management, and risk management.
- Ability to take ownership and drive projects to successful completion.
