About the role
As a Data Engineer on our team, you will be responsible for designing
and implementing data solutions to help our clients solve their data
problems. This may involve tasks such as building data pipelines,
designing database schemas, and developing data-intensive APIs. You will
work closely with our team of data scientists and senior devops and
data engineers to ensure that our solutions are effective and efficient.
In
this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of
projects, from simple ETL tasks to full end-to-end solutions that
involve data ingestion, analysis, and deployment of machine learning
models. You will also be responsible for documenting projects and
processes so that our clients can understand and potentially take
ownership of the solutions we provide.

In this role, you can expect to
- Build data pipelines
- Review and design database schemas
- Coordinate with more senior engineers on project requirements
- Work with data scientists to enable the required analysis and eventually package and deliver models to customers
- Document projects and process so that clients can participate or even take ownership of the project
You are a good fit if you
- Have experience and enjoy optimizing Python and SQL
- Proven experience building and maintaining data-intensive APIs
- Familiarity with creating and maintaining containerized applications, i.e. Docker
- Excited to dive in and learn and leverage cutting edge technology to solve data problems
Bonus if you
- Know tools like dbt, Acryl Datahub, and Great Expectations
- Familiar with the usage and packaging of data science libraries like CatBoost, PyTorch, and similar
- Basic understanding of Kubernetes
- Experience with cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform and AWS
