LOTO Program Engineer

Position Title & Basic Details

We’re looking for a LOTO Program Engineer based in Indiana. This is a Contract position requiring 25 years of relevant experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is strongly preferred.

Overview

In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing the Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Program. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in utility systems startup and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement the LOTO Program as part of a team of engineers

- Assist in developing LOTO Planning Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

- Lead a smaller group of LOTO Coordinators

- Manage Permit to Work procedures and Job Hazard Analysis

- Coordinate in a multi-company construction environment

- Train C&Q personnel on LOTO Procedures

- Handle chemical and solvent handling, ensuring OSHA compliance

Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience

- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in LOTO procedures and Permit to Work systems; familiarity with chemical/solvent handling and OSHA regulations is a plus

- Experience: Minimum 25 years working in utility systems startup and construction environments

- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

- Chemical / Solvent handling experience

- OSHA Training and certifications
