Position Title & Basic Details
Were looking for a Project Hardware Engineer based in the United States. This is a Full-Time position requiring 3-5 years of relevant experience. A Bachelors degree in electrical engineering is strongly preferred.
Overview
In this role, you'll be responsible for simulating power electronics systems, specifying electrical components, writing project artifacts, customizing converters, and supporting drive commissioning. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in power electronics and thrives in an innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop hardware for power electronics systems in industrial applications such as Marine Propulsion, Oil and Gas, Metals rolling mills, and Power generation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during testing and commissioning.
- Follow best practices and stay current on industry trends to continuously improve outcomes.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Matlab/PLECS and C coding; familiarity with Industrial Informatics and Realtime systems is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 35 years working on power electronics converters and related technologies.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with power electronics converters such as MMC, multilevel VSI, LCI, DC drives, STATCOM, or active filtering.
- Experience in industry applications like Marine, Oil and Gas, or Military.
- Additional credentials or certifications in electrical engineering or related fields.
