Position Title & Basic Details
Were looking for an Automation Controls Engineer based in the United States. This is a Full Time position requiring 6+ years of relevant experience. A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Systems, or a related field is strongly preferred.
Overview
In this role, youll be responsible for developing system solutions in function block programming for metals and industrial markets, executing major and complex projects, providing technical support to sales and customers, and developing software and hardware solutions. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in PLC programming and thrives in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop PLC programs for automation and control of machinery and equipment across various industrial settings.
- Design intuitive HMI and SCADA systems to empower operators in efficiently monitoring and managing industrial processes.
- Develop hardware components, including sensors, actuators, and control systems, ensuring adherence to global industry standards.
- Conduct testing and debugging of PLC programs and hardware systems to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of PLC programs, hardware designs, and system configurations.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to support project execution, system installation, commissioning, and postimplementation phases.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Systems, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in PLC programming concepts (ladder logic, function block diagrams) and HMI/SCADA development; familiarity with programming languages such as ladder logic or function block.
- Experience: Minimum 6 years working on automation and control systems projects.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem solving abilities.

- Strong analytical skills to effectively identify and resolve challenges in automation systems.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
- Proactive approach to learning and taking ownership of tasks.
