Position Title & Basic Details

Were looking for a Siemens Controls Automation Engineer based in Gaithersburg, MD. This is a Contract position requiring 3-5 years of relevant experience. A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is strongly preferred.

Overview

In this role, youll be responsible for supporting ongoing projects and day-to-day operations by troubleshooting, maintaining, creating changes, and integrating protocols in Automation and Controls Systems, specifically Siemens Desigo. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in Siemens BMS and Desigo and thrives in a field-based environment requiring independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop automation and control systems for pharmaceutical projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during maintenance and operations.
  • Follow best practices and stay current on industry trends to continuously improve outcomes.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Siemens BMS, Siemens Desigo, Allen Bradley, Modbus; familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, Cables, Network Servers.
  • Experience: Minimum 35 years working on automation and controls systems in pharmaceutical or similar industries.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive experience with Siemens Desigo.
  • Specific experience with programming and integrating protocols.
  • Additional credentials or certifications in automation or controls engineering.
