Motion Controls Engineer

Position Title & Basic Details

We’re looking for a Motion Controls Engineer based in the Midwest, Texas, Arkansas preferred. This is a Full-Time position requiring 2-5 years of relevant experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related Engineering field is strongly preferred.

Overview

In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading or contributing to detailed hardware and software design of process automation control systems projects. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in control system design and programming PLC and SCADA applications and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop hardware and software for process automation control systems projects.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during control system startup, commissioning, and maintenance.

  • Follow best practices and stay current on industry trends to continuously improve outcomes.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related Engineering field or equivalent experience.

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in programming PLC and SCADA applications; familiarity with Rockwell products such as ControlLogix, Studio 5000, RSView, and other PLC platforms (GE, Siemens, Modicon) is a plus.

  • Experience: Minimum 2-5 years working on control systems design and implementation projects.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Servo experience.

  • Control system validation experience of pharmaceutical/biotech systems.

  • Knowledge of S88 Batch standards and experience implementing batch systems.

  • Additional credentials or certifications in control systems.
