Position Title & Basic Details
We’re looking for an ANC2 Site Safety Lead based in North Carolina. This is a 12-month contract position requiring 35 years of relevant experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Construction Management, or a related field is strongly preferred.
Overview
In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading and overseeing the overall safety program for the construction of a new drug substance manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in safety management and thrives in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the overall safety program, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
Collaborate closely with the main contracting firm to prioritize safety across all project phases.
Provide cradle-to-grave project management of safety initiatives from design through to operational start-up and handover.
Manage safety elements such as permits and Pre-Start Up Safety Reviews (PSSRs).
Ensure the build team adheres to safety protocols and best practices.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of safety standards, protocols, and regulations, including OSHA and MSHA.
Experience: Minimum 5 years working on large-scale construction projects in highly regulated industries, with project experience ranging from $300M to $500M.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in managing safety from design phase to operational start-up and handover.
Experience working alongside the main contracting firm to ensure site safety.
Relevant safety certifications.
