ANC2 Site Safety Lead

Position Title & Basic Details

We’re looking for an ANC2 Site Safety Lead based in North Carolina. This is a 12-month contract position requiring 35 years of relevant experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Construction Management, or a related field is strongly preferred.

Overview

In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading and overseeing the overall safety program for the construction of a new drug substance manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in safety management and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the overall safety program, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and standards.

  • Collaborate closely with the main contracting firm to prioritize safety across all project phases.

  • Provide cradle-to-grave project management of safety initiatives from design through to operational start-up and handover.

  • Manage safety elements such as permits and Pre-Start Up Safety Reviews (PSSRs).

  • Ensure the build team adheres to safety protocols and best practices.


Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of safety standards, protocols, and regulations, including OSHA and MSHA.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years working on large-scale construction projects in highly regulated industries, with project experience ranging from $300M to $500M.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing safety from design phase to operational start-up and handover.

  • Experience working alongside the main contracting firm to ensure site safety.

  • Relevant safety certifications.
