Position Title & Basic Details

We're looking for an Automation Project Manager specializing in DeltaV based in Boulder, CO. This is a contract position requiring 7+ years of relevant experience. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is strongly preferred.

Overview

In this role, you'll be responsible for leading the design and implementation of DeltaV automation systems for a new greenfield pharmaceutical facility. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in DeltaV systems and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop DeltaV automation systems in compliance with industry standards.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop automation solutions.

- Review and finalize design documents and implementation plans.

- Manage automation projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.

- Mentor and guide a team of automation engineers throughout the project lifecycle.

- Coordinate with project managers and vendors for milestone delivery.

- Oversee selection and integration of DeltaV hardware and software systems.

- Lead configuration, testing, and validation of software applications.

- Implement strategies for system upgrades and troubleshooting.

- Ensure automation systems meet regulatory and industry standards.

- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.

- Drive initiatives for process optimization in automation systems.

Requirements

- Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in DeltaV systems; familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is a plus.

- Experience: Minimum 7+ years working on automation projects in the pharmaceutical industry.

- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of GMPs, regulatory requirements, and computer system validation principles.

- Proven team leadership and proactive project management skills.
