About the Role
We have partnered with a company that is a leader in the provision of Risk and Compliance Auditing and Management services to the built property sector, whose clients are some of the largest corporations in Australia. They employ a four pillars approach to risk and compliance management - Essential Services Management, Property Risk, Height Safety, and Emergency Management.
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Associate with hands-on experience in Xero, particularly in managing expenses and performing credit card reconciliations. In this role, you will support the Finance Team in delivering accurate financial processing, reporting, and analysis. You will play a key part in ensuring compliance with company policies, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting operational reporting requirements.

What you'll be working on:
Manage and process expenses in Xero
Help with credit card reconciliations and checking transactions for accuracy
Support invoicing tasks and ensure related expenses are recorded properly
Review and organize expense claims for approval
Assist with month-end tasks such as prepaid expenses and basic reporting
Help prepare simple reports using Excel (e.g. data tracking, summaries)
Provide support in operational and ad-hoc reports as needed
Maintain accurate records and follow company policies and procedures
Quality, Compliance & HSE Responsibilities
Follow company policies, procedures, and accounting guidelines
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
Raise any issues or discrepancies to the Finance Team
Support a safe and compliant working environment by following company standards
What we're looking for:
Open to fresh graduates who are eager to learn and grow
Basic knowledge or familiarity with Xero (especially expenses and credit card reconciliations) is an advantage
Good verbal and written communication skills
Basic Excel skills (formulas, simple reports; pivot tables is a plus)
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Able to manage tasks and meet deadlines with guidance
Team player with a positive and proactive attitude
Basic understanding of accounting principles
