About the Opportunity

Our client, a growing industrial equipment and machinery solutions provider, is seeking an experienced Field Installation Crew Lead to oversee complex equipment installations across manufacturing and processing environments.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in the field, enjoys leading crews, and has strong mechanical and welding expertise. You will be the go-to leader on job sites — coordinating personnel, managing equipment, ensuring safety, and delivering projects on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise field installation crews (3–5 team members typical)

• Plan personnel, equipment, and material needs for each project

• Coordinate schedules with customers and internal management

• Verify materials and equipment upon arrival at job sites

• Establish project milestones and ensure timely completion

• Track and report crew hours for payroll and project management

• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately

• Perform and oversee hands-on welding and mechanical installation work

• Operate forklifts, manlifts, welders, torches, plasma cutters, and cutting tools

• Enforce safety standards and maintain high-quality workmanship

• Travel extensively to customer sites (including weekends as needed)

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of field installation experience in machinery, heavy equipment, or industrial environments

• Proven crew lead or supervisory experience

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Hands-on welding expertise (required)

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

• Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment

• Valid drivers license with a good driving record

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%

Preferred:

• Welding certification

• Forklift or heavy equipment certifications

• Experience working in small-to-mid-sized industrial companies
