About the Opportunity
Our client, a growing industrial equipment and machinery solutions provider, is seeking an experienced Field Installation Crew Lead to oversee complex equipment installations across manufacturing and processing environments.
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in the field, enjoys leading crews, and has strong mechanical and welding expertise. You will be the go-to leader on job sites — coordinating personnel, managing equipment, ensuring safety, and delivering projects on time.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise field installation crews (3–5 team members typical)

Plan personnel, equipment, and material needs for each project

Coordinate schedules with customers and internal management

Verify materials and equipment upon arrival at job sites

Establish project milestones and ensure timely completion

Track and report crew hours for payroll and project management

Interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately
-
Perform and oversee hands-on welding and mechanical installation work

Operate forklifts, manlifts, welders, torches, plasma cutters, and cutting tools

Enforce safety standards and maintain high-quality workmanship

Travel extensively to customer sites (including weekends as needed)
Required Qualifications

5+ years of field installation experience in machinery, heavy equipment, or industrial environments

Proven crew lead or supervisory experience

Strong mechanical aptitude

Hands-on welding expertise (required)

Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment

Valid drivers license with a good driving record

Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%
Preferred:

Experience working in small-to-mid-sized industrial companies
