About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established manufacturer in the electrical/electronic production sector, is seeking a Journeyman Maintenance Technician to support critical plant operations.

This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has strong experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic presses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic presses

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and basic electrical systems

  • Dismantle equipment, replace defective parts, and reassemble machinery

  • Inspect components for wear, dimensional changes, and imperfections

  • Adjust and calibrate functional parts and control instruments

  • Perform arc welding and metal fabrication as needed

  • Operate lathes, drill presses, grinders, and milling equipment

  • Read and interpret assembly drawings and assist with PLC troubleshooting

  • Initiate purchase orders for replacement parts

  • Conduct performance testing after repairs

  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment

Requirements

  • Journeyman card (required – must be current and verifiable)

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic presses

  • Basic electrical troubleshooting experience

  • Ability to read assembly drawings and assist with PLC diagnostics

  • Arc welding and machining experience (lathe & mills)

  • Valid Drivers License

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (100 lbs occasionally)

  • Comfortable working overtime, including Saturdays as needed

  • Associates degree in a technical field OR equivalent hands-on experience
