About the Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing organization seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their onsite team in Greenfield, Indiana.

This is a hands-on role ideal for a skilled journeyman with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities, particularly in hydraulic and pneumatic press systems within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic presses

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in production machinery

  • Dismantle equipment to access and replace defective parts

  • Inspect components and adjust functional parts and control instruments

  • Perform preventative and emergency maintenance

  • Repair electrical equipment and basic PLC troubleshooting

  • Operate lathe, drill press, grinder, mills, and other metalworking tools

  • Perform arc welding as needed

  • Lubricate, clean, and test equipment after repairs

  • Read and interpret assembly drawings and technical manuals

  • Initiate purchase orders for parts and equipment

  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards

Required Qualifications

MUST possess a valid Journeyman card in an approved trade
Minimum 5 years of experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment
Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic presses
Basic electrical troubleshooting experience
Ability to read and understand assembly drawings and PLC systems
Experience with arc welding, lathes, and milling machines
Valid Drivers License
Must be available for overtime, including occasional Saturdays

Education: Associate degree from a technical school OR equivalent hands-on experience

Work Environment

  • Industrial manufacturing setting

  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and electrical systems

  • Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally

  • Onsite role (5 days per week)
