A well-established healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead financial operations for a foundation supporting a major hospital system.

This leadership role requires strong expertise in financial management, compliance, budgeting, and team leadership within a non-profit or healthcare environment. The ideal candidate is strategic, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and oversight of financial operations

Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and financial reporting standards

Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial integrity

Develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets

Partner with leadership to set financial goals aligned with organizational objectives

Serve as a liaison between the foundation and healthcare system stakeholders

Analyze workflows and implement process improvements

Stay current on industry and regulatory developments

Lead, coach, and evaluate finance team members

Support employee development and performance management initiatives

Requirements

Bachelors degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or related field

7+ years of financial leadership experience

Experience working in non-profit organizations (4+ years preferred)

Experience supporting or working within a foundation environment (4+ years preferred)

Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Strong leadership, budgeting, and financial analysis skills
